GPU Rack BoM Template
A free AI rack BoM template (XLSX) for organizing the accessories side of a GPU rack deployment — rack power, cabling, rack hardware, and monitoring — one rack at a time. It is the same rack power cabling BoM template our sourcing engineers use to structure incoming RFQs, so a completed copy can be quoted on accessories lines within 24–48 hours.
What the Template Helps You Organize
A GPU rack accessories BoM template exists to stop the most expensive mistake in rack deployment: discovering missing parts after the servers arrive. The template walks the accessories scope category by category:
- Rack power: PDUs, C13 power cords, C19 power cords, input plugs per destination country
- Cabling: fiber patch cords, DAC cables, AOC cables, copper patch cords, cable managers
- Rack hardware: server rails, blanking panels, shelves, cage nuts
- Monitoring: temperature sensors, humidity sensors, leak detection
- Per-line sourcing fields: quantity, target unit price, certification, MOQ, lead time
The template deliberately excludes GPUs, servers, and complete cooling systems — it covers the accessories around them, which is the scope we quote.
Sections Included in the Template
The spreadsheet is organized so each tab can be handed to a different stakeholder and still roll up into one private AI cluster BoM:
- Project Overview — rack count, power per rack, destination country, target dates
- Rack Power — one row per PDU configuration and power cord SKU, with voltage, phase, plug type, and C13/C19 outlet quantities
- Cabling — one row per cable SKU: type, connector ends, data rate, length, quantity per length, jacket rating
- Rack Hardware & Accessories — rails, blanking panels, shelves, mounting hardware
- Monitoring & Sensors — temperature, humidity, and leak detection lines
- Compliance & Logistics — certification requirements (CE / UL / RoHS), packing, labeling, and shipping notes
How to Fill Rack Count, Power, Cabling, and Accessories
Start from the Project Overview tab: rack count and power per rack drive almost every other quantity. Then work per category — the GPU rack deployment checklist XLSX structure means each tab asks only for what suppliers actually quote on:
- Power rows: take PDU quantity as racks × PDUs per rack, and let the C13/C19 cord counts follow the outlet mix. The PDU RFQ checklist explains each field.
- Cabling rows: list quantity per length rather than totals — "40 × 1 m, 40 × 2 m" is quotable, "80 cables" is not. The cabling RFQ checklist covers connector and mode choices.
- Accessories rows: one blanking panel row per size, one rail row per server model.
- Unknown cells: leave them blank and mark "TBD" — our engineers fill gaps and flag assumptions rather than rejecting the file.

When the tabs are filled — rack count, rack power, voltage, plug type, outlet types, cable lengths, target country, certification requirement, MOQ, and lead time — attach the file to the RFQ form. Our sourcing engineers verify the lines, match suppliers per category, and return an itemized quote on accessories lines within 24–48 hours. Prefer us to do the structuring?
